About Shoulder Compliance

We are Shoulder Compliance, based in Malta. Our line is “Get your compliance DONE”, and we mean it literally: a policy nobody follows is not compliance, and neither is a risk assessment that sits in a drawer.

Malta trains you for cross-border questions. Licensing is handled by the MFSA, the financial intelligence unit and AML supervisor is the FIAU, and many of our clients serve customers in five or ten other countries. When a Regulation arrives that applies the same way everywhere, they ask one thing: what do we do differently on Monday?

This site answers that for the AML Regulation (AMLR), sector by sector. Start with the general explainer or go straight to the Malta view.

How we write

Legal statements here are checked against the Official Journal text or an authority’s website, and each page carries a review date. Where something is still a draft, such as technical standards, we say so. If we cannot confirm a point, we leave it out.
